The Moyo Safi Wa
Maria Nursery/Primary school was started last year July 2021 in the Catholic Archdiocese of Mombasa. The aim of starting the school was to help the children in the locality and more especially the poor by offering education and other learning services at a very affordable cost.
The motto of our school is “Education in the Light of Christ” All this is to promote the growth of the children not only in terms of education but holistically. Due to lack of funds we built three classrooms for the preprimary children.
At the moment the three classrooms are occupied and we have no more class which can be used come next year by grade one pupils.
The other challenges we have include the following:
1) Inadequate learning/ teaching materials
2) Inadequate outdoor play materials.
3)we have no means of transportation (school bus/ Van)
4) Inability of some parents, despite the low rates, to pay school fees for their children.
